We are delighted to announce that we will now be offering onscreen Functional Skills Maths tests on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We hope that by offering these tests at weekends, we will give students that are currently in full time employment Monday to Friday an opportunity to complete the qualification without having to sacrifice a day’s holiday. Students can pick any date that is convenient for them to attend and complete the 90-minute onscreen test.
The tests will also be available throughout August, so any students that have recently sat GCSE Maths and are concerned by their performance, can take the test as a way to try and secure a recognized qualification in the unfortunate event they do not achieve a grade 4 or above for the GCSE.
Results Days – Nearly Here!
All students that sat examinations with us this summer will soon be receiving their results. The various results days are as follows – and we know that these can be both exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time for students!
CIE IGCSE & A-Level Results: Tuesday 13th August
AQA, Edexcel, OCR & WJEC A-Level Results: Thursday 15th August
AQA, Edexcel, OCR & WJEC GCSE & IGCSE Results: Thursday 22nd August
Results will be supplied in the form of a Statement of Results, which will be sent via email. Whilst this is not a formal certificate, it is the standard format for all results in the England and will be accepted as such by colleges, universities and employers. Students that are unhappy with their results can contact us on the applicable day, either via phone or email; Paul and Pete will be on hand from 8.30 to 4.30 to advise on all post-results services that are available.
2018/19 Academic Year – Nearly At An End
Between August 2018 and July 2019, we supported over 700 students with their written, oral and onscreen examinations; as well as their A-Level coursework assessment and practical endorsements. Students travelled to our Private Examination Centre in Bristol from across the UK – as highlighted by the red dots on the map below.
Over 60% of all our students came from outside Bristol, travelling an average of 69 miles to take their examinations! We also supported International students from Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Malta and Zambia.
We very much hope you enjoy the remaining weeks of summer and look forward to providing students with their results in August!
