Become a Tutor
We require part time one-to-one tutors in several subjects. We are looking for enthusiastic graduates who are passionate about explaining their subject and are good at communicating their knowledge.
With highly attractive hourly rates becoming a part time tutor can be a great way to supplement your income. It can also be a gateway into gaining more experience within the education industry. If you need a role with a good amount of flexibility becoming a tutor can give you the work, life balance you need.
How does it work?
If you are accepted to become one of our tutors you will simply indicate which subjects you wish to support and to what level. For example, maths up to GCSE level or English language to A-Level. Our tutors usually focus on their degree specialism or related subjects. You determine your availability and we will match you with students looking for tutoring in your subject in your available time periods. This flexibility is great if you have other commitments, as the sessions can easily fit around you.
Where are the roles based?
Our students are mainly in the Bristol area, so face to face tuition is usually within the Bristol region. Our online tuition is available nationally. You can combine online and face to face tuition depending on your preference.
Do you have to be a teacher?
No, you do not need to be a teacher to work as a tutor. You do however need to be a graduate with a good knowledge of your chosen subject and effective communication skills. A role as a tutor can be well suited to recent graduates or parents who are looking for a career that is adaptable to their family circumstances.
