The long Summer break is over and we all have that “back to school” feeling as September begins. After the upheaval of the last 18 months, hopefully education and exams will return to some normality this year. We are here to help our candidates recover from the disruption, helping you to book your exams and offering tuition to help candidates catch up with any lost learning.
Exams Consultation for the next academic year
The Department for Education and Ofqual have indicated that exams are expected to take place next year. However, they recognise and will mitigate for the disruption to students’ education that has occurred. A consultation was completed over the summer and the findings on the proposed arrangements for GCSEs & A-Levels will be announced early in the Autumn term. As soon as we know the details, we will communicate them to you. Being prepared and having the right information is key to planning the academic year for us and our candidates.
Reduced fees for the academic year
We understand that the pandemic has put a financial strain on many people. We want to ensure that private candidates can access our exam centre to carry on with their educational journeys. With this in mind we have reduced our A-Level fees and frozen our GCSE and IGCSE fees, apart from maths for this academic year.
You will still receive the same excellent service from us and we hope this helps ease the financial pressure for some of our candidates. Contact us to book your exams for the forthcoming exam series.
Catch up tuition
Even with dedication and perseverance it has been hard for learners to stay on track during the last 18 months. School education has been disrupted and even the most hardworking home schoolers will have sometimes struggled to keep up. Now as education starts returning to normal it is easier to see any gaps in learning that need addressing or any extra support that is needed for your children, or yourself if you are an adult learner.
We can provide tutors from Key Stage 1 to A-Level. In person tutoring can be accessed in the Bristol region but is available nationally online. The fees are calculated on an hourly rate and vary according to the level being studied. Tutoring can be utilised for a short period, or with a specific goal in mind. It can be a great way to boost knowledge and give confidence to learners. Find out more about our tuition service here.
Our candidates are our priority
As we have shown in the last 18 months, we always put our candidates first in often challenging times. We ensure we are up to date with regulations and any changes that will affect the exam series we run. We are committed to providing a safe environment for all candidates who come to our centre for exams. If any more disruption does occur, we are confident that we can provide the best possible service to our students.
This Summer saw another successful year for our candidates, despite the cancellation of exams. We wish all our students who achieved their GCSEs, IGCSEs and A Level results at our centre the very best for the future.
