After a very stressful year for everyone in education it is time to look forward to the next series of exams. Although no one can predict with absolute certainty what the future holds, as things stand, we should be able to run our Autumn 2021, January 2022 and Summer 2022 exam series in the normal way. If you are working towards taking your exams in these series, this is all the information you need to know.

Autumn 2021

For the Autumn Exam series, we will be offering all available qualifications.

Cambridge (CIE) IGCSEs and A-Levels will run throughout October and November.

Edexcel have created an additional series for their IGCSEs in November and December. A list of available subjects has now been confirmed by Edexcel https://qualifications.pearson.com/content/dam/pdf/Support/International/autumn-series-2021-and-January-series-2022-subjects.pdf  These are available to all students, including first time entrants.

AQA, OCR, Edexcel and WJEC Eduqas GCSEs and A-Levels will also be available for all subjects in October for A-Levels and November for GCSEs. These exams are available to students who are disappointed with the teacher assessed grades they received this Summer and would like to re-take. This series is also for students who the exam boards believe would have intended to enter the Summer ‘21 exams had they not been cancelled.

The only exception is GCSE Maths and GCSE English Language which are available to all students, including first time entrants provided they are aged 16 or over on 31st August 2021.

Register early for Summer 2022

Although next Summer seems a long way off, we are now accepting entries for Summer 2022. Students that register early can take advantage of paying for their entries over an extended period, via interest free instalments. This is a great finance option for all students, particularly private candidates who need A-Level practical endorsements for their science course.

We always advise registering early for subjects with high demand, particularly GCSE Maths. We are expecting greater demand for exams next year because of the disruption caused by the pandemic.

What will happen if exams are cancelled again in 2022?

It goes without saying that we really hope that exams will proceed as normal next year. If exams are cancelled for any reason, we will again follow the Ofqual and exam board guidelines. They will most likely follow the same approach as this year with grades being decided by the Centre. We successfully submitted grades for all our candidates this year so are confident that we can follow this system again if required.
