Mock Exams & Cramming Classes

Mock Exams & Cramming Classes

Mock examinations and cramming classes form an integral part of our service and are available to all students.

Mock Examinations

Our mock examination service is available throughout the year and encompasses the setting of the most up-to-date past paper, provision of the examination room, invigilation, post-examination marking of the paper and the preparation and sending of a short report to the student via email. The report will contain the mock examination mark achieved together with notes highlighting areas of strength and weakness. The mock examination report is usually sent to the student a few days after completion of the mock examination.

Alternatively, students can complete a mock examination paper at home and send the paper to us for marking and preparation of a short report. Students can access freely available past papers from the applicable examination board’s website or if required, we can post past papers to students. Completed papers can be sent to us via post or scanned and sent via email. Please note that students completing mock examinations at home will not have access to the most up-to-date past papers, as these are restricted to in-centre use only.

We also recognise that some universities require a predicted grade as part of their admission procedure and know this can present difficulties for many self-study students. To assist in this, we can contact the university concerned, indicating that we can provide a formal mock examination and mock grade for the student. Providing the university is happy to accept the mock mark / grade produced, we then arrange a date for the mock examination with the student. Once the paper is marked, the student receives a predicted grade, which is then formally passed onto the university by us.

One-to-One Cramming Classes (aka Revision Sessions)

Cramming classes are available in a wide range of subjects at GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level and are conducted by one of our fully CRB-checked specialist tutors. The classes are available at any time throughout the year, but are usually scheduled for just before the student’s relevant examination, and are typically of two or three hours duration. Classes are available in both face-to-face (wider Bristol region only) and online formats.

The class provides students with the opportunity to consolidate course material as well as learn methods and techniques to answer examination questions successfully. The class also enables the student to raise, run over and clarify any topics or exam questions they are struggling with.
